
As one of Denver's youngest preeminent rock bands, Red Tide Rising has earned the respect of the industry by playing tons of tight, visually stunning live shows. Along the way, their writing has matured to a level equal to many seasoned national bands. Red Tide Rising has a long bright future ahead.
Red Tide Rising is built around original music best described as classic rock and roll infused with today's metal punch, a sound that is uniquely theirs. Their influences are vast including AC/DC, Metallica and Godsmack to name a few.
Red Tide Rising was formed by brothers Andrew and Matthew Whiteman in 2006. The lead vocals of Matthew Whiteman are far beyond his age.
Red Tide Rising has been showcased in music festivals and concerts both locally in the Denver area as well as nationally including the famous Cadillac Bar in San Antonio where they opened the main stage for Axe, Reverend and Rick Sanford with WolfPak. They have headlined and supported numerous shows in the Denver area, most recently Mistletoe and Metal, Localpalooza 2010, The Gothic Theater and the Summit Music Hall. Red Tide Rising has toured regionally including RocktoberFest 2009 and 2010 and the Revolution Music Festival.
Black Collar Radio started in 2008 as an emerging, web-based underground radio broadcast, solely focused on the Philadelphia Tri-State region.
As of February 2011, BCR is expanding to include a wider range of cities and locations, in an effort to spread beyond this single geographic area.
