Casual Hearts is a hybrid of rock and melodic hip-hop with a heavy influence of pop music and dance sensibility with a hint of r&b characteristics. Emerging from Long Island, NY the territory responsible for spawning bands such Taking Back Sunday, Brand New & Glassjaw in recent years, and legendary acts such as Blue Oyster Cult, most would assume that the five piece that comprise Casual Hearts would feel the pressure to prove themselves as one of the noteworthy bands hailing from the region. If you made the same assumption then you might want to guess again.

With catchy, energetic, mellow & intense melodies from instrument to vocal and an energetic live show the band conveys a unique sound that allows no room for uncertainties. With influences ranging from Hardcore and everything between to mainstream pop, if you don't like everything this band is about you are bound to be attracted to it one way or another. Therefore if you aren't willing to listen to a captivating band you might want to redirect your attention elsewhere.

Black Collar Radio started in 2008 as an emerging, web-based underground radio broadcast, solely focused on the Philadelphia Tri-State region.

As of February 2011, BCR is expanding to include a wider range of cities and locations, in an effort to spread beyond this single geographic area.
