13:1 was formed Christmas of 08. We started a few months before basically toying with some band and genre ideas. We didn't have a singer at that time, so our bass player PJ wanted to give it a shot. We then found a prodigy 16 whose true identity is still unknown but we like to call him Brandon. Once these two pieces of the puzzle were matched, we became... 13:1

But like many bands, after about 7 months of playing we took a small hit with the loss of our drummer John K. So, a good friend of ours Justin Mayhorn from D.T.C. stepped in to record the drums for the upcoming album. Then we took another hit as our good friend and bass player Brandon told us he was leaving the band. After a few hard weeks of trying to reverse the thought that this band was going to die, we came across a local drummer from Smyrna, DE named Allen Siembida. Allen fit right in, and is the new 13:1 drummer. After trying out a few bass players we found a local bassist from Dover, DE named Shannon Ouimet. Just as with Allen, the transition was smooth and Shannon is now the 13:1 bassist.

13:1 has been around for about a year now and been through some tough times, but we've rebuilt, found two new awesome people, and were going to be coming out harder and stronger then before...
