NYC/NJ based Close2Death members hail from Austin, Texas, Staten Island, and New Jersey. The group writes and performs original songs and has evolved its own distinct hybrid of knife-edge rock, metal and rap.

Front lady Dee Dial is talent, out and out, with passionate vocals that breathe fire into the C2D soundscape. Q is the yang to her yin, delivering hardcore vocal expression with equal verve. On-fire guitar licks blaze through the songs thanks to the nimble-fingered skills of ax-wielder Chad Garlisi. Donn Parent hammers out the percussive rhythms that convey the muscle of Close2Death's hard rock aesthetic and Mike Fennamore completes the rhythm section with his rumbling bass grooves.

Close2Death is a growing force in the NY music scene and their star gets brighter with every live performance. Recently, C2D won December '08 Artist of the Month for Messamusic UK webzine. Close2Death made it to the semi-finals of the 2008 Emergenza International Band Competition and came out victorious in the Supernova Brooklyn Band Battle in October 2007.

The group is getting air play on stations in the U.S. and UK. They have played at acclaimed New York/New Jersey venues such as Arlene's Grocery, Bitter End, Crash Mansion, Starland Ballroom and Six Flags Great Adventure.
